THC-A is the most abundant form of THC found in hemp and cannabis and is the pre-cursor to D9-THC. When THC-A is heated, it’s converted to D9-THC through a process known as decarboxylation. THC-A by itself is non-psychoactive until heated.
How is this different than D9-THC?
In practice, it’s not. As soon as you combust THC-A whether with a vape, by igniting flower, vaporizing or even heating in an oven/on a stove it converts to normal D9-THC. This gives you the same effects that we all know and love.
